Sylhet Dakshin Surma USA Closed Now

Sylhet Dakshin Surma USA is a New York City-based Bangladeshi community organization made up of people who immigrated to the USA from the South of Sylhet, close to the Surma River. The area south of Sylhet is primarily the Moulvibazar District. Moulvibazar is located in the southeastern part of Sylhet Division in northeastern Bangladesh. It is bordered by the Indian states of Tripura and Assam to the south and east, respectively, and by Habiganj and Sylhet districts to the west and north. Specifically, the town of Moulvibazar is located just south of Sylhet. Dakshin Surma is also a small administrative area in Sylhet, Bangladesh.

The association strives to maintain connections among its members through various events, including annual picnics, iftar parties, cultural events, and family-friendly activities.
