Description
The Greater Noakhali Society of Buffalo is a community organization of Bangladeshi immigrants living in Buffalo, New York. All society members permanently live in Buffalo and hail from the Noakhali district in Bangladesh. The association provides its members with the opportunity to communicate and support one another.
Activities:
The Greater Noakhali Society of Buffalo organizes social and cultural events for its members. These include an annual picnic, an iftar party during the holy month of Ramadan, and a celebration of the Bangla New Year, Boishakhi.
Membership:
Any US citizen hailing from the Noakhali district in Bangladesh and living in Buffalo can be a general member by paying the $20 application fee and being endorsed by two association members. The annual membership fee for general members is $50/year. Members can become life members by paying a one-time payment of $1000.
