Dr. Akbar Khan, our primary care physician at Island Medical Care, holds the belief that preventative care starts with a communicative relationship between patient and caregiver. Dr. Khan is an expert in handling patients and managing their diagnoses. Dr. Khan started his career as an engineer for a major manufacturer of industrial equipment. It was there that he realized the effectiveness of managing data to determine cause-and-effect relationships. Dr. Khan is also board-certified in internal medicine.
